I Do Not Wish To Be Perceived

from Swaddled in Gloaming by Lewis Mullen

/

about

An introvert's wonderings in nature

lyrics

I do not wish to be perceived
And so I step out in the gloaming
Among the rust and amber leaves
And the mellow wind a-moaning

Out on the edge of thought it's quieter as you go
Here at the edge of night no one knows
When the morning breaks startling is the glow
Bringing fools and their concerns in tow

I do not wish to be perceived
So I shall wear my cloak of midnight
Speaking only to the bees
And the bats abroad in twilight

Strangers hassle and deceive
And so I do not wish to be perceived

I write the kind of music I'd like to listen to, and I hope you enjoy listening to it to. It's a window into a slightly different world that's a more honest mirror of our own
